The Love of God is shown through people, can you believe it?

The old charismatic Catholic song says:

we are one in the Spirit / we are one in the Lord / we are one in the Spirit/ we are one in the Lord / and we pray that all unity / may one day be restored / and they'll know we are Christians / by our love / by our love / yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love

The Love of God is the one thing that will unite the world. All the divisions of doctrine and creed and culture disappear at the foot of the cross. This is no mere Pollyanna-ish notion, but a biblical reality.

Each time we show love to someone, it is from God, for God is love. When love is received, we are changed for the better. Each time we receive love, a space is made within us for more love to come in.

An ancient book of creative wisdom says, " Love bears all things, believes and hopes in all things. Love never fails."

Love never fails. Love changes us. Love is from God. God is love.

how do I love thee, Lord

Right now I am reading The Ragamuffin Gospel and I am getting blown away by the love of God.
I think the revelation of God's love for each one of us is the greatest revelation for our time.

I've had so much fun setting these things up now that I thought I would open up another blog, just to hear from folks who read my other blogs. Or maybe not.

The Love of God is such a awesome thing. You can't do anything to get it. You can't earn it. You simply receive it, and then grace does its work and changes us from the inside out. It's a cool thing.

God loved us so much that he gave us his one and only son. WOW!
